My Food Philosophy

I love to cook, which is extremely convenient because I. love. to. eat.

Eat what? Anything and everything. Real food. Although I’m nowhere near the junk-food-eater turned healthy-food-obsessed crazy person that I used to be, I still find myself craving and eating mostly healthy whole foods because I love how they make me feel – energetic and happy. Fruits, veggies, nuts, seeds, legumes, whole grains, yogurt, eggs, cheese, chocolate, and I are very, very close.

Like, very close…

I know that there’s more to life than food, but I also know that food introduces something more to life. Pleasure. Fellowship. Creativity. Passion. Oh, and this little thing called energy to fully live and enjoy life. That last one’s the real kicker… I haven’t always had the best relationship with food, and believe me [read: don’t try it at home] when I say that I found out the hard way that without food there is no life.

None. Zip. Nada.

Luckily, I think I’ve finally managed to reach a place where I’m able to see food as the delicious friend that it is, and we’ve got quite a comfy, cozy relationship as a result. Truth be told, I think I may have actually become a bit clingy, but what can I say? I just really don’t like being hungry, and I’d imagine that others really don’t like it when I’m hungry either… so, I try to make sure I’m always well fed and then everyone wins 😀

“I know that there’s more to life than food, but I also know that food introduces something more to life.” I love this sentence. It’s so true.

I just found your blog and have to say that you have such a way with words! It is honest and real and sounds like you truly care about us, your readers!

I am intrigued by your fresh approach and perspective to “healthy living” in the blog world. There are some very unrealistic ones out there for sure.

Thank you for making your reads thought provoking!
