. just your average day .

August 22, 2011

Hello, hello and happy Monday!

To be honest, I had absolutely no idea what to write about today. Not a clue. I wasn’t struck by any epiphanies, I didn’t feel like being creative in the kitchen, and the most out-of-place thing that happened was that I slept in until 6:30 and somehow managed to snap a picture of the clock at the exact second that it was changing from 6:50 to 6:51 when I started cooking my breakfast an hour later than usual…

Weird 😯 Other than that, it was just the same old, same old.

I started the day with breakfast…

You know the drill. Oats. Eggs. Bananas. Almond butter. Pudding. Breakfast.

. – . – . – .

I worked…

Paperwork = Hate Very much dislike.

. – . – . – .

I worked out…

[15 minute treadmill intervals to warm up followed by 45 minutes weights/abs via NROLFW]

. – . – . – .

I broke for lunch…

[Protein shake, yogurt mess with cereal and trail mix, salad beast]

. – . – . – .

I worked some more…

The only key I wanted to hit on that keyboard was the Zzzzzzz…

. – . – . – .

The postman subtly reminded me that it’s been far too long since I’ve been to Ikea and that I should probably go in and re-acquaint myself with their stock since I need new furniture anyway…

. – . – . – .

I took my girl to the vet for her follow-up…

She knows what’s coming…

Look left. Look right.

No one’s looking! Quick! Hide!

. – . – . – .

I celebrated health (hers and mine) with more ice cream…

It’s official. I’m addicted. No interventions please.

. – . – . – .

I started re-reading a favorite book for probably the 11th time because I ran out of new ones and promised myself I wouldn’t buy anymore until after I move (which, to be honest, isn’t going to happen)…

I first read this book for my English 101 class, and fell in love.

. – . – . – .

I got all excited that tomorrow is August 23rd because it means that the newest Gossip Girl season is coming out on DVD, and I’ll have something to keep me occupied Β for at least a few of the next 23 days until my moveΒ (EeeeEEEEeeeE)

One of the only shows that I watch regularly on the tee-vee.

. – . – . – .

I thought about packing, but ultimately decided against it (again)…

Probably not my smartest idea… the days are counting down!

. – . – . – .

I got my zen on instead…

I went from thoughts of “ommmmn” to thoughts of “nommmm” and knew it was dinner time.

. – . – . – .

I made dinner…

Pumpkin chili Mexican scrambleΒ topped with avocado, salsa, and cottage cheese.

. – . – . – .

I went shopping for a friend…

I have a friend that’s going through a rough patch, and figured she could use a little love.

. – . – . – .

I found the cutest container for my unused avocado halves…

It’s goofy things like this that make me smile.

. – . – . – .

And I’ll probably finish the night with some blog reading and snacking…

Oat bran mixed with applesauce, alongside Greek yogurt, flaxmeal, maple syrup, and cinnamon.

. – . – . – .

So that’s it. Just your average day. No glitz. No glamour. No fireworks. There are times when I look at days like today and think to myself “Huh.Β My life is kind of boring“, but I’m honestly happy with the way things are right now. I used to be really big on the whole party scene, and I’d be out atΒ bars, clubs, and parties pretty much 7 days a week, but it got old, and although I have plenty of good memories from those days, it’s not really the kind of lifestyle that I’d like to return to.

And then there’s the whole moving thing. Right now, I feel like I’m in some sort of a limbo where I’m really just waiting for life to begin once I move into my new place; like I’m holding my breath and just… waiting. It’s frustrating, but at least I only have 3 more weeks of it to go πŸ˜€

. – . – . – .

Do you ever feel like everyone else is leading a much more interesting life than you are?Β I do sometimes, but then I remember to keep in mind that you don’t usually get to see the boring and mundane parts of most people’s days, so the picture you get of their lives isn’t entirely accurate.

Ice cream: in a cone or in a cup?

Ice cream in a cup for me, please! By the way, what brand of ice cream have you been enjoying?

  2. August 22, 2011 6:02 pm

Cup all the way. I really am not a fan of cones, I dislike the crunch, and I find that the ice cream makes them mushy, bleh… which is one of the reasons I can’t even eat my cereal with milk, have to have the cereal in a bowl, and a glass of milk on the side (I should have answered that the day the question was about weird eating habits, because that is definitely a weird one… and I still eat the dry cereal with a baby spoon errr…)

Some definitely lead a more interesting life than me… but then I remember small things like I work in the film industry (and that is definitely interesting), or I get to travel to new cities once in a while because of work (currently in Montreal), and because my job isn’t always the most steady I get to travel (going to Korea in a month) … which are all very interesting, interesting depends on what the person thinks. I like reading books, and relaxing on the weekends where people may find that boring but I find it fun. It’s all in the eye of the beholder πŸ˜‰

  3. August 22, 2011 6:04 pm

There is something highly …thriling about that clock snapshot. You captured a moment our eyes never see. Awesome.

  4. August 22, 2011 6:08 pm

I would never deduct that your life is boring =) you’re just a rad girl with a condo to close and decorate and a fabulous friend who can cook and give heartfelt gifts =) oh and a puppy mama! important things dahhling!

    love you so! =)

ps: I SLEPT IN TOO!!!!!!!!!!! Twas kind of glorious. I barely needed my coffee today!

  5. August 22, 2011 6:09 pm

Hell yes on everyone having more interesting lives than me.
A lot of kids my age are out partying and hanging out and stuff, and I have like, 2 friends who are right in front of me at 1st and 2nd in the class. It’s so sad. But I feel like I’m just an old soul sometimes.

Oh and “I went from thoughts of β€œommmmn” to thoughts of β€œnommmm” and knew it was dinner time.”
    totally made me giggle

As for ice cream: neither…stick πŸ˜€

  6. August 22, 2011 6:10 pm

The Life of Pi is a wonderful book! One of my favorites too!
I think you had a very productive day – by no means boring at all! Sorry to hear your friend is going through a rough time but im sure that charm will definately cheer her up!
Where did you find such a clever gadget for the avocado? Its adorable!
Ice cream – well i like a cup when i want toppings so they don’t fall off but when im in the mood for something crunchy – a cone is the perfect treat! Ice cream anyway is yummy!

Definitely a cup! I’m not a huge ice cream fan, though… but I love sorbet and sherbet.

All that paperwork looks intense! Can I ask what you do for work?

    • August 22, 2011 8:55 pm

We have a family business, and I take care of a lot of the finances and order a lot of the stuff that we need. I like it because it’s flexible, I can work from home, and it gives me something to do until I get a more concrete hold on what I want to do now that I’m graduated.

  8. August 22, 2011 6:11 pm

Yes! Most people are probably living lives that are more interesting than mine haha. But, like you, I’m really ok with how I am. I would rather be “boring” and happy than partying and not enjoying it. Definitely ice cream in a cup, with a cone on the side! I just hate how it drips all over me haha. What kind of job do you have?

  9. August 22, 2011 6:19 pm

That’s so awesome you got the clock at that exact moment in time! Such a small instant that you can’t even see it with the human eye, but the camera caught it…unbelievable. I sometimes think that my life is uber boring but then I realize I’m happy with my day to day life and there are always little things that happen that surprise me or make me smile.

That waiting period for moving must be frustrating. When I have to wait for something I always keep telling myself “don’t think too much about it” because I’m worried that I will just be setting myself up for disappointment.

I love ikea, and remember as a kid me and my sister would spend hours looking through the catalogue and choosing what we would have in our house when we grow up…good memories πŸ™‚

YES, I always think people are living a more wild life than I am- and then I hate when they ask me what I’m up to, and I’m like ummm… Hey, I like a more quiet life!
Wonder if you’ll ever tire of your pudding oats brekky. I remember from your old blog you used to eat apple pie oats quite a lot, I know cos I made them! Pudding oats probably have the edge because chocolate is generally involved:)
Neither a cup or a cone form me thank you. I don’t like ice-cream- it makes me cold , hurts my sensitive teeth and its always a race to finish it before it melts:p. Guess that just means more for all the many ice-cream lovahs out there!

    • August 22, 2011 8:58 pm

I remember those apple pie oats! It’s been ages since I’ve had them, but I definitely enjoy these more. I’m still waiting to tire of them, but I never seem to πŸ˜† Every time I switch them up and have something different in the morning, I always wish I had stuck to the tried-and-true.

And I am far too messy for ice cream in a cone, so I like an ice cream cone turned upside down in a cup πŸ™‚

  12. August 22, 2011 6:41 pm

I loved the book Life of Pi! I read it years ago, but I remember it being very good!

Ice cream in a cup for me! πŸ™‚ Girl, that is so cool with the oven time! It looks like it doesn’t even have a last digit in the time. Haha, that is so cool. πŸ™‚ I seem to have the same breakfast every morning, but I’m ok with that, because it is just so good! πŸ˜€

I’m all about a cup for my “ice cream”. πŸ™‚ I always spill on myself when I use a
when i was 4 i once dropped the ice cream off the cone 3 times, before my dad snapped and said i had to eat it from a dish. lol it was pretty funny.
i had a typical day too, but your typical days always look delicious.

  17. August 22, 2011 6:56 pm

Ahhhh 3 weeks!! Time is flyin by!
I do feel like others lead more exciting interesting lives but I’m very happy with where I’m at πŸ™‚

  18. August 22, 2011 7:00 pm

Sometimes I feel that way, but not usually. I’m a dork who pretends to be exciting. I at least keep busy, so I guess that helps. And it’s cone for me. Definitely waffle cone, though sugar is a more reasonably sized alternative. Then again, I’m not one to turn down ice cream in cone, cup, tasting spoon, whatever… it’s all goooood!

    • August 22, 2011 9:11 pm

Haha it’s definitely all good. I’m particularly fond of it straight from the box when it’s all melty from sitting on the counter for a little while.

I looove love love Life of Pi too. It was the first book I read in high school and I fell in love right there and then! Your meals always look so good and well-balanced, yet simple! Just what I need ..(and will need starting college in september!)

  24. August 22, 2011 7:32 pm

    your dinner looks delicious!!

it depends on my mood for whether i want my ice cream in a cup or cone. cones are a lot of fun but i feel like you get more ice cream in a cup, which is always a plus. i’d have to say my favorite is having ice cream in a cup, but with waffle cone pieces as a topping. YUM!

    • August 22, 2011 9:16 pm

!! Now THAT is something that I haven’t tried. Thank you for the idea πŸ˜€ Definitely going to crumble my cone on top the next time I have ice cream.

  25. August 22, 2011 7:37 pm

I almost always feel like everybody is leading a much more interesting life than me. I am supposed to be having the best time of my life right now, living 10 000 km away from home but it is just not happening. I have to ask some of the other international students about the secret of actually enjoying this experience because I am clueless. But sometimes it is good to have a calm eventless day to recharge your batteries.

On a stick, in a cone or straight from the box – it doesn’t matter at all. It is the taste that matters and if the ice cream is good, it will still be good even if you eat it from Π° saucepan.

  26. August 22, 2011 7:43 pm

I love average days. I don’t think I appreciate them enough when I have them, because when my life starts to get really exciting and busy, I really wish that I could just chill and go through the normal motions, ya know? It’s comforting! By the way, I love that book so much — I would love to read it again. I’ve tried to convince my mom to read it so many times so maybe I need to lead by example. I read it in freshman year of high school and it may have been the only book I enjoyed that year!

  27. August 22, 2011 7:51 pm

lol yeah my life is totally boring. I don’t mind the tamer lifestyle though, too many late nights out is just overwhelming and exhausting! (I think most people’s lives are pretty ordinary 95% of the time…and if not they’re bound to burn out soon!)

  28. August 22, 2011 7:51 pm

Oh my gosh do I feel that way. Sometimes I spend my day grocery shopping, working on artwork for classes, napping, yoga-ing, etc. I don’t really interact with anyone on a deep level and nothing ‘interesting’ happens, but I always end the day content. I can’t do that too often, though. I need interaction! I feed off the energy of the city and the people. But even when I’m out and about gettin’ my ‘energy’ on, I don’t necessarily do anything eventful. School is boring.

Wake up. Class. Lunch. Class. Class. Nap. Class. Work on perfecting projects (that will ultimately never meet my perfectionist standards) all other moments. HAHA!

Cup all the way! No drips for me, please!

I’m so excited for you! Can’t wait to see your new place. And OHMIGOOSSHHH do I love IKEA. It’s sort-of bad for me to go, though.

‘Oh, this is too cheap and adorable NOT to buy!’

    -20 items later-

And I do love avocado, but I only have it when I go out to eat. I don’t eat enough of it to keep it from going bad! That little container is brilliant!

So sweet of you to buy a Pandora charm for your friend during her struggle. You’re such a beautiful person ❀

I used to feel like that very often until my recent coming to Christ. It might sound really cliche and may not make much sense– but by feeling like I actually have something larger than life to live for has made me want to make strides and help others in ways that I couldn't even fathom before,

    And cone, 100%. πŸ˜‰

  31. August 22, 2011 8:50 pm

I ALWAYS feel like people have more of an exciting life because I’ve put myself into a state of isolation for so long. Eeeek. But oh wellz, I mean… I am pretty grandma cause I got to bed early and wake up early to watch Regis and Kelly. Haha!

I think I like ice cream better in a cup because I love toppings and when it’s on a cone, the sprinkles run down when the ice cream melts. Boo.

  32. August 22, 2011 8:55 pm

IKEA! Love it. It’s been far too long since I’ve been there too. I’m a little jealous that you are soon going to have a whole place to yourself that you can Ikeafy. I need a good excuse to load up on Ikea goods.

I’m glad to hear that book gets your stamp of approval. I’ve had it sitting on my shelf for a couple years now but STILL haven’t gotten around to reading it (I need to make leisure reading a much bigger priority!). That one might have to get bumped up in the line.

LOVE that pandora charm (you’re such a sweet friend). AND the avocado “box”, that’s genius!

I think most people are leading much more “boring” lives than we think. People don’t talk about or show off (ehemfacebookstalking?) their everyday routines. They gab about the good stuff. Which likely makes up a small percentage of most people’s daily lives. But all those simple, routine days can be pretty awesome too. I like simplicity sometimes. Okay, often πŸ™‚

Ice cream = cone. Though I’ll admit I order it more often in a cup. Easier to eat I guess? Cones are way more fun though.

Looks like one heck of a day to me– filed with all my favorite eats (we seriously have VERY similar taste in food!) and things to do. Glad you enjoyed it all πŸ™‚
I’m SUPER boring– a good day for me includes being outdoors and running or biking, eating yummy wholesome food and lounging around. πŸ™‚

  35. August 22, 2011 9:45 pm

This day looks near ideal to me! I’ve always led a relatively ‘boring’ life by normal standards. I’m going into my third year in college and I don’t think I’ve ever gone out 2 weekends in a row, let alone 2 days in a row! Part of me wonders whether or not I would be happier as a part of the party scene, but when it comes down to it, I can’t force myself to have fun – it wouldn’t work. I’ve never been a really social person, even though I do love to go exploring and do fun things. But I would be perfectly happy with a a day that consisted of a workout, some cooking, a trip to the store, coffee, wandering and lounging.

  36. August 22, 2011 10:04 pm

Oh my gosh, I just discovered IKEA and I love it! They just built one in a city near me and I went on the opening day (which was also my birthday) and I ended up getting two really cool lamps and a little pink caddy because the store gave me a gift card since it was my birthday πŸ™‚

There are some days that my life does seem boring to me, but honestly, I’d rather not be out partying or anything like most of the people in college do. I’d rather just hang out and do yoga, or catch up on TV or enjoy being outside. As long as I’m enjoying it, I don’t care if my life is boring by others’ standards!

    2. In a way, I do feel like everyone is leading a more exciting life than I am. I don’t really hang out with friends that much. Mostly I spend time with my boyfriend, my parents, and my dog and cats! BUT, I know that I am doing what makes me happy. I used to be one of those people that partied allll the time, but I realized that the people I was partying with weren’t really my friends. I was just someone else to party with to them. And I wasn’t happy with that. Not to mention that wasn’t the “healthiest” habit. ANYWHO, I am happy with my life, exciting or not. πŸ™‚

And ice cream ANY way. Cone, dish, cup, in my hands! Haha

    Icecream.. in either.
Cones are so yummy and crunchy, but then I love getting to the end of an icecream in a bowl and its half melted. Maybe I can find a happy medium of having an icecream in a cone, turning it on its head and sticking it in a bowl?

Very relevant post, as always! (Including yesterday’s which I didn’t have a chance to comment on!) I often feel like my life is so much more unexciting than most other people’s who are my age… but you know what, I blame facebook, where people publicise their most exciting moments. You read a variety of cool things people are up to in the news feed – but it’s certainly not reflective of their everyday life. It’s so easy to make comparisons in this mass-publicicised online world but it’s not eveyone’s reality!
But I totally relate that it feels like life is on hold until ‘x event’ – personally I feeling in a rut and so am sitting still whilst awaiting the return of very good friends who have been away traveling for a long time, and for the prospect of a new job (interview today so fingers crossed!) But that just adds to the excitement. It’s okay to live low and quiet for a while, especially leading up to a big new event.

Oh it’s tough, especially when you have to deal with melty cones… things can get a bit messy, but thus is the life of a food blogger πŸ™„

“Boring” and “average” are such subjective terms and totally in the eye of the beholder, if you know what I mean. I find beauty in the little, routine things we do every day, like setting the coffee to start at a certain time, etc. Of course there is also great fun in excitement and spontaneity, but I think that because it is a shift from those “typical days” and that’s what makes it special. Without “average” there would never be “amazing”, and both are nice and necessary!

I just moved into a new place and got a few key pieces from Ikea. LOVE my box shelfy thing. Do you know what I’m talking about. It’s a shelf that holds boxes…

  53. August 23, 2011 5:00 am

YES! I always feel like my life is so boring and everyone else is out having fun. I need to stop comparing my life to others. How do I know that they’re not thinking the same thing?

I love that you’re honest about your day! So many people follow the same routine day-in-day-out and feel majorly overshadowed by others who post about their amazing adventures…

That Pandora charm is beautiful, I’m sure your friend will love it!

I’d take ice cream in a cup, cause when I take it in a cone it’ll fall off. XD

Sometimes I thought other people were leading a more interesting life, but now, I daydream adventures in distant fantasy worlds and that made my life not boring anymore. πŸ˜€

  56. August 23, 2011 6:09 am

Yesss I love Gossip Girl! I actually just finished watching the 3rd season a few days ago and now I can’t wait for season 4 to start! πŸ˜€

And girl I could not agree more with you about feeling like everyone else’s life is more interesting. I think social media is definitely to blame – we’re constantly having pictures and tidbits of other people’s lives shoved in our faces via Facebook, etc. It makes me feel so boring!

  57. August 23, 2011 6:53 am

Ice cream in a cup with a cone on top…you get the best of both worlds πŸ™‚
I completely understand your thoughts on people’s lives being more interesting. I feel the same way quite often and also get those familiar feelings of “what am I doing with my life” when I look at others. I just have to keep doing the best I can put myself out there too from time to time

  58. August 23, 2011 7:02 am

ice cream in a cup…with tons of chocolate sprinkles =)

i know what you mean about the partying scene…i am slowly getting over it and loving my lazy and relaxing nights (and i always like waking up refreshed and ready for the day). i want your dinner–i keep saying it, maybe i should attempt to make it soon!

  59. August 23, 2011 7:11 am

I LOVE ‘average’ days!! Life is normally sooo busy and crazy that sometimes a day like that is such a blessing!! I definitely had one of those yesterday, and it was AWESOME πŸ™‚

And the Life of Pi is an AMAZING book!!! You have good taste πŸ˜‰ That Pandora gift is beautiful!! Your friend is a lucky girl!!

    3 weeks yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!! πŸ˜€

  60. August 23, 2011 7:37 am

I ALWAYS feel like everyone is leading a more interesting life than I am! Haha. But your typical day looks pretty awesome to me – especially all the yummy things you ate πŸ™‚

I used to be a cup girl all the way (could hold more toppings) but now I’m coming around to cones….I love the crunch!

  61. August 23, 2011 7:50 am

I want that avocado holder thing. And the pandora charm πŸ™‚ You are such a nice friend.

I like “normal” days like this — every day is not always exciting and busy. I enjoy the quiet moments!

  62. August 23, 2011 7:54 am

I like my icecream on a cone in a cup. πŸ™‚ And I know what you mean about waiting for life to start again. Seems like I’ve been waiting for MONTHS but I’m trying to stop looking at it that way and just live and enjoy what’s going on.

  63. August 23, 2011 8:05 am

I don’t know how you (and so many other people) can re-read books! I can only read a book again if it’s been so long that I don’t remember what happens in it. Otherwise, I just get bored because I know what’s coming. As for ice cream, if gluten wasn’t a factor, I would say cone! There’s something extra special about licking ice cream off a cone. There’s a homemade organic ice cream shop where I live, and they make an amazing cocoa waffle cone. It’s not just dipped in chocolate, the actual cone is chocolate! Heavenly.

    • August 23, 2011 11:01 am

Hehe I like re-reading books for the author’s writing style more than for the story. Even when I know what’s going to happen, some authors have such a way with words that it completely sucks me in.

  64. August 23, 2011 8:40 am

Your posts always make me sit and think for a few minutes… so thoughtful. I used to have that feeling like everyone had a more exciting life than me. But now I’m content with the ways things are!! I see things differently now than how I used to. I see how unhappy some of the people are around me (depression, drug addiction, marriages falling apart) and I feel blessed that I have an amazing and loving family. I do my best to look on the positive side of things now and focus on feeling grateful for the things I have… my health, my family, God.

  65. August 23, 2011 8:52 am

The avocado holder is so adorable! I need one πŸ˜€ I swear I always think everyone else has a more interesting life than me haha. Everybody seems to be busy and constantly doing something, and I just have the whole day dedicated to pretty much doing nothing. Ice cream in a cone or a cup… hmm I can’t decide. I haven’t had one in a cone in such a long time! I think you’ve got me craving it now πŸ™‚ Oh and just a question about your nighttime snack, do you cook it or how do you make it? πŸ˜€ It looks really interesting but my oat bran always ends up like a mushy pile.

    • August 23, 2011 11:03 am

Eee yeah I can’t do mushy oats. I do cook mine (leaving it on the stove over low heat for about 30 minutes), and then I let it sit in the fridge for a little while to thicken up some more. I cook my night time snack while I’m in the kitchen making dinner, so it saves me some time.

  66. August 23, 2011 9:08 am

Yeah…during holidays my life seems so mundane compared to others. Still, quiet and average means nothing is going wrong which is good enough in my book for all my days to be “average”!

Not picky at all when it comes to my ice cream. Cone or cup. Cones are more fun – pushing the ice cream down to the bottom so you have a melty yet crunchy last bite! πŸ™‚

  67. August 23, 2011 9:40 am

Most people probably DO have more interesting lives than mine, since mine is particularly boring! But I’m pretty much okay with that. πŸ˜‰

Depends on the kind of ice cream, really, but I think I’m partial to a cup.

  68. August 23, 2011 9:43 am

I NEED that avocado container!!! Where’d you get it?!?!!?

  69. August 23, 2011 9:43 am

PS im not a fan of cones

  70. August 23, 2011 9:44 am

Hey, as long as *you’re* happy, who cares how exciting your life is! Your average day looks pretty good to me. And a lot like my average day, except I avoid talking on the phone like the plague πŸ˜› Hmmm as for the ice cream issue, it depends on what kind of cone it is. I used to only get ice cream in a cup because I hated those syrofoam tasting cones, but now a days they have some pretty good (and crunchy!) choices.

  71. August 23, 2011 10:46 am

Ice cream in a waffle cone pwetty pwease. My dream is to own a waffle cone maker, they are the coolest things ever πŸ˜›

My life is “boring” sometimes too. But I think that’s just how other people might see it, because I’m perfectly happy with the way my life is πŸ™‚

  72. August 23, 2011 12:19 pm

Sometimes the average days are the most beautiful of all :). Something my grandma said to me this last Christmas hit home for me: “You are the same as your mom. You always to want to be doing something different, be somewhere else. You need to learn to be happy with where you are right now.” I love making progress but I also have tried to learn to be happy with just having a relaxed or “boring day”. It just makes all those exciting days of wonderful discoveries super-awesome :D.

As for the ice cream question, I haven’t had a cone in ages, but I love to have scoops of ice cream on fruit, topped with raisins, nuts or nut butter, chocolate sauce if we have any, and anything else that sounds good. I just can’t have it plain– it doesn’t last as long then! I love beefing it up… makes the experience so enjoyable.

  73. August 23, 2011 1:11 pm

It’s so funny, when people ask me what’s up, I say – “Not much! Just the way I like it!”
I do live an uneventful life, but it’s a beautiful one! Sometimes, I feel dull at parties when I have nothing of note… no recent travels, no major drama.
    But that’s me! πŸ™‚

  74. August 23, 2011 1:36 pm

that was super sweet of you to buy your friend a little gift. You are so thoughtful girl πŸ™‚
p.s. loving all the ice cream on your blog lately!!

  75. August 23, 2011 3:51 pm

That ice cream looks perfect! I think I neeeeeed some! An earthquake is a good excuse, right?!? πŸ˜‰ Well, my drivers ed class was canceled today so I think its necessary! Haha, I wish! It’s been beautiful in VA recently so I just want to spend all of my time outside!

i definitely feel like everyone’s life is so much more interesting than mine! especially when i read blogs… not just in terms of everyone seems to be doing stuff, but EATING so great! and i prefer my ice cream in a bowl, cuz i tend to take a while to eat it and like to savor it and mix it all up. toppings are way easier to deal with in a bowl.

  77. August 28, 2011 11:07 am

Woah, thats awesome that you got that picture right when it was changing. I mean what are the chances?!
I love that avocado container. I always have half an avocado leftover and that would come really come in handy πŸ™‚
I definitely feel like my life is mundane sometimes compared to others, but you’re so right! Its because most people only put up the more interesting parts of their life. Although I’d say your average day is still very interesting! πŸ™‚
And ice cream in a cone please! I love the contrast of the crunchy cone and the soft creamy ice cream πŸ˜›
